Previous FBI head James the former director has pleaded not guilty to giving untrue testimony to lawmakers and obstructing a legislative process.

His lawyer submitted the response acting as his counsel in a national courtroom in Alexandria, Virginia on Wednesday morning.

The defense lawyer announced he would attempt to have the proceedings dismissed for multiple factors including that his the accused, a opponent of Donald Trump, was being targeted.

James Comey was charged just days after Trump pressured his attorney general to move forward against him.

At the proceedings on Wednesday, the defense counsel the legal representative informed the judge they planned to present multiple motions to throw out the case before a legal hearing, arguing the prosecution was retaliatory and that a government lawyer was wrongfully designated to handle the case.
