Skydance Paramount Plans to Cut Around 2,000 American Positions – Report

Skydance Paramount will start large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, cutting about 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance aiming to reveal full details during its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.

Earlier reports had indicated that Paramount was looking to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.

By December 2024, the organization retained almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented to a request for comment.
